fragrance oil

I love moving away from consumer goods especially when doing it your own way ticks more boxes. A good example of this is my small oil flask that carries a personal blend of natural etheric oils.
The recipe is simple, take a carrier oil, I used olive oil, and add a few drops of etheric oils.
Etheric oils have different properties. I just add two; Rosemary as it stimulates cognitive function. Pine I add because it reminds of the woods.
I love being in the woods.
These two simple oils are blended the way I like and bring me more than a store bought perfume would.
It's a more subtle, it does not bombard you and your environment with it's scent, does not desensitize your nose, it's more unique and personal, it does not destroy health but supports it, elevates mood, I can rub it on my temples or my beard, less pollution and packaging, less toil on the planet, a carrier oil you most likely already have at home, etc...
I also like the fact that there is an effort and some skill involved. You gotta take a little time for it. Blending scents takes some experimentation. Getting to know what you like and not and what can be supportive to your mood and function.
It's one of those cozy, good and personal little things you can do.
It's nice, try it.
